From 31 March 2013, Qantas will be flying to Dubai* from London Heathrow twice a day with their award-winning A380. With two evening departures, passengers can optimise their trip by arriving in Dubai refreshed and ready early the following morning. In addition, Qantas and Emirates are to unite through a brand new partnership**, meaning customers can travel on Qantas codeshares on Emirates services from regional UK and Ireland destinations. Dubai Update spoke to Eric Jelinek, Qantas Reional General Manager UK/I to find out more.

What sort of flying experience can customers expect?
Qantas believes the journey should be as memorable as the destination with four comfortable cabins to choose from; First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy. Furthermore, customers can now treat themselves to Qantas Premium Economy to Dubai, which has been rated the ‘World’s Best Premium Economy cabin’.

What kind of flight options are now available through your partnership with Emirates?
Customers can now enjoy a seamless stopover in Dubai on their way to Australia, or an innumerate number of destinations which Emirates services through the Qantas Emirates partnership**. The Qantas and Emirates ‘World’s Leading Airline Partnership’ will also enable customers to fly to Dubai from regional UK destinations using Qantas codeshares on Emirates operated services. Regional departure airports in addition to London Heathrow are London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Dublin.

Tell me about the Qantas Business and First Class Options
When customers choose to travel in First or Business on Qantas, they will experience the convenience from the moment they leave home. A Qantas chauffeur will collect the passenger from their preferred location and take them to the airport in time to enjoy the lounges (conditions apply). Inflight, passengers will enjoy a journey of complete luxury in one of only fourteen First suites or a private Business cabin. Both First and Business seats recline to fully flat, wide beds.

Who should Travel Agents and Tour Operators wanting to work with Qantas get in touch with?
